Electron spin doesn't have a classical counterpart. I pursued that for years and then had to give up. If you don't want to be a spinfag, then read up on represention theory and the representation of poincare group. From there try to figure out where exactly it comes from and why it is quantised in the first place. Bonus points: spin is the only surviving phenomenon of relativity when you take the classical limit. Why?

The election can't spin in the classical sense because it's not an extended object, it's a point object. There would be no way to directly see a spinning point.

Surely biology will be massively important for genetics alone? Hell, the hard problem of consciousness could have an answer based in biology? I respect all science, but often times it seems like it tells us how the clock is made without telling us the time.

For ancient DNA I would UV radiate the sample, drill for a segment, pulverize the thing, amplify the DNA using some machinery (IDK) and the sequence it with some Illumina sequencer. Then just put the reads in .fastq format. The cancerous part of making the reads to a .bam file ought to be made with at least 128 gigs of RAM or I won't be staying.
