Primate labor

Did people ever try to selectively breed primates so they could be smart enough to do basic manual labor (farming, mining, etc) ?
Were there problems with trying to raise selectively bred primates or people just never thought of it?

The NHTSA estimates there were 38,680 road fatalities in 2020 (60.4% in cars). Idk--I drive all over the country and it never feels like there's a chance. Opinions?

Since there are naturally chemists on this board, I figured this would be the best place to ask this question.

Because I'm not good at swatting flies and don't want to use raid because of the smell, I use windex. And it's rather quite effective.

What chemical in windex is it that kills the bug and makes them fall instantly to the ground?

Growing up everyone always told me I was smart but I think this killed my ability to actually study and learn things because now if I don’t instantly understand a concept I get frustrated and just feel like giving up. How do I fix this?
