She wants to go on about how progressive she is, so she goes to see the great Seattle and Los Angeles because they are so forward thinking only to see the drugs, violence and smog polluting everything that she thought would be amazing.
Then have her visit a mountain town full of "Hillbillies" only to find out that they have most everything you would see in a big city without all the problems that come with shoving millions of people into one place and the yokels have a better understanding and appreciation of nature since they actually have to live with it rather than pave it all with concrete and act like they're in touch.
You want me to take someone seriously, then she needs to get real world experience. She wants to be a buddhist then she needs to read the teachings of buddha and not just the fortune cookie crap everything thinks it is and she'll learn that Buddhism is far less tolerant and loving as she thought it was.
