What are some good introductory Logic and Set Theory books?
I came across the logic book by Hinman and while very intriguing, the pace and intense abstraction made me realize that I probably need something more introductory.
As for Set Theory, I read Halmos' book but I'm not sure how much I actually took away from it since it was so concise and had very few exercises. So a more traditional textbook with similar (or slightly bigger) scope would be cool.
So we've got those medieval farmer guys with windmills. The propeller thing is connected to gears, so that when wind turns the propeller it turns the gears which mill the wheat or whatever. Makes sense.
Modern day. We've got dams that dump water of gears to turn them. We've got nuclear reactors that boil water to turn propellers with the steam. We've got coal stuff that's basically the same thing.
How do we get from turning propellers to charging phones hundreds of miles away? Are there, like, billions of microscopic gears inside the phone and like the steam ???
How do you store the energy of something inside batteries?
I remember hearing in school that potential energy was metaphorical, you didn't actually accumulate energy from being high up, for example. Is electricity like that too?
What is it that determines a persons hobbies and interests? Whether they'll be interested in certain sports or not, or certain academic studies? What determines whether someone gets enjoyment out of something like driving a car? Are there any good books or resources on this?
How much of it comes down to genetics, and how much is down to life experiences? I.e. do twins have the same interests?
Guys please tell me there is a treatment for this post-covid parosmia shit
Everything I put in my mouth tastes like vomit and chemicals.

>Be me, 20 yo >Join an anime group on Telegram >A girl uploads K-pop content >make fun of her, say her musical tastes suck >Start chatting me privately >we chatted for a while >She is 15 yo >Latina >She quickly falls in love with me >She is talking to me all day, she won't leave me alone, she won't let me do anything >tells me that she lost her father during childhood (first red flag) >She says she wants to hug me, kiss me and cuddle me (all the time, every day) >start to annoy me >Later, she tells me that she was abused (groped) by her stepfather when she was a child (second red flag) >She tells me that she was also abused last year by a "friend", who she supposedly hates too much (third red flag) >She tells me that during the abuse she was masturbated and he managed to wet her, also that she was immobilized and could not do anything >For some strange reason, feeling a great sense of disgust and repugnance, telling her that she liked it, that she is an easy whore, and telling her to go to hell >she insists that she did not like it, that she felt pleasure without her consent >Still feeling a great disgust anyway, and tell her not to change my point of view >I proceed to delete the chat >She sends me audios of her crying and saying she doesn't want to lose me >Tell me that her heart belongs to me and that she wants to be with me forever >ignore her, send her to hell >She says she will kill herself (fourth red flag) >After a few hours, apologize to make her feel better (although deep down she still disgusts me) >Again she gets attached to me and won't leave me alone
What should I do?
Why am I so disgusted that she was raped, why do I react this way? What are the scientific implications of this?
I've been reading pic related and I find it quite interesting how many of the results on it could be applied to gravitational fields. What is the "Griffiths" of gravitation?
