Hypothetical Economics Question

No.14278636 ViewReplyOriginalReport
If the income tax on a particular profession is increased, then (I presume) the incentive to enter that profession will decrease. Say this is a profession that requires a degree. In the above scenario, fewer people will be going to school to get that degree.

What will happen to the cost of the degree? Will it go down to attract more students, or will it go up to squeeze more money out of those students who do attend?

I know this is a very basic economics topic, I just don't know what it's called. Can some anon please point me in the right direction? Answering the question for this particular scenario would also be helpful, but that is secondary as I imagine that a different formulation of the problem would've resulted int he opposite answer.

Thank you in advance!

>this is a topic for /biz/
I have already been informed that "/biz/ is a crypto board", so no.

Lets say I have a pool full of Ehtanol and I dip in it every single morning for like 10 seconds and pull pout right away
Would that be better than taking a shower every day?Or would it be terrible for my health in the long run?

Is nuclear shit bullshit?

No.14278783 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'd love to become educated in nuclear devices (bombs, reactors, etc); but while studying I can't help shake the feeling most of it is just pure bullshit. I don't mean the whole 'science is an ever changing study' mantra, obviously it is. I'm talking about the processes, theories, even naming conventions (why the fuck you gonna call it strange quark or charm quark, kill yourself instantly).
Considering nuclear energy, devices, and just the general study of the fundamental forces of reality are keys to the future, why would genuine information about them be passed out or published in textbooks.
I'm not saying they're going to describe the exact techniques, but are they even legitimately describing the fundamentals??? Or is it all crock to keep most people dumb, and those few in search of answers sedated with a false sense of meaning and never ending confusion.
