Scientists from prestigious intuitions keep on coming back to 4chan to study me and seek my wisdom, the one in picrel has apparently been on the job nearly a decade.
Do we have any scientific researcher here with currently seeing field data? Ask your questions, I am here with my unfathomable scientific wisdom that you're seeking, no need to be shy.
Is speed reading better for learning and comprehending material or should you actually spend some time translating what a sentence means into terms and ideas that are understandable to you?
I'm an aspiring artist and I was never good at mathematics in highschool but my teachers were always retards anyway.
For a couple of years now I've been itching to learn but I always come up with an excuse and I'm done with those.
What are some sci approved books to learn the basics again and start making a path towards more complex math.
To make things clear; I'd say I'm the most interested in the pure philosophical aspects of math rather than the practical aspects that you would find in stuff like engineering.
I don't mind listening to conferences or classes as well if there's any recomendations of that sort.
I'm making progress. There aren't any obstacles. Getting A's and studying for the GRE. If all goes according to plan, I'll be graduating with my Ph.D in Mathematics at a school like picrelated in only 8 years at age 37. Feels pretty good, everything is easy and I finish early. Zyprexa saved my life.
I have an average mind and it feels like so much of the world is locked off from me: Information to parse from sources beyond my access, conversations beyond banal remarks about the weather and what's on TV, opinions to form, there's gotta be something beyond the average life's silent mediocrity. I feel like an ant. How do I go beyond this? How can anyone abide by the average modern life? I feel disconnected from the real world, I don't want to meditate on the color of the sky and the asphalt I walk on until I die.
Is there actually mathematical proofs and what they say like the iron law of wages true at all? Or is most of it complete hogwash? Why can there be so many fields of thought in economics if there are real evidence supporting one theory over the other?
then i better get me a simple and fun and realistic enough of an interpolation model that also includes tells the opposing body to also move at the required time, relative to the direction of the movement, and the overall symetry of the body
Let me start by saying this isn't homework, the problem relates to me trying to position a camera for a game I'm working on. I've narrowed down the actual math involved as best I can to make it solvable.
a point P exists along a vector M starting at O, a plane intersects P with a normal vector of N.
What is the position of P such that the plane intersects another point Q.
For the purposes of this problem you can think of O as being the origin and that both Q, M and N are known.
For context P would be the position of the camera and the plane would be a side of the view frustum while O would be the focus of the camera, M would be the direction of the camera from O, Q would be some point I'm trying to fit within the view frustum.
I don't know if there's a better way of presenting this problem, any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm currently at my wits end.
