At best, by habit of seeing the same subject, you will form neural pathways which will make you quickly pattern match things you see and classify them
that's useful when you understand stuff

I don't think so. I have a truly photographic memory but this can cause problems as I'm likely also autistic. I find it particularly frustrating when I discover an error in a source too late and have to replace an already burned-in image (like bad notation, for example). I sometimes wish that I could choose to verbalize at a slower pace or to process information more sequentially.

Also, I hate the conventional notation for functions, like "f(x)." It’s fucking stupid.
