/proj/ - Board Project General: First Thread Edition:

No.14283785 ViewReplyOriginalReport
First general if this kicks off, based on this thread >>14270391 Starting with brainstorming unless anyone has a better idea, come up with something that isn’t too much of a reach for our first go. Hopefully I or somebody will make a discord for this for links etc.
1. Brainstorming
2. Gaining level of interest, commitment and viability of this

Some ideas:
>rudimentary ai, like Alexa
>free research paper distribution
>non patented mobile robot schematics
>blueprints and process for terraforming
>creating a scientific process for living life in the modern age

We could do collective research, create schematics and test via posters and other contributors. Think tank ideas and generally brute force problems when it comes to it.

Frequentist interpretation of probability

No.14296368 ViewReplyOriginalReport
So I was reading the Wikipedia page for Principle of Indifference, and it says that the principle becomes meaningless under the Frequentist interpretation.

I gave it some thought but still can't quite get why the principle would become meaningless under the frequentist view (as opposed to the subjective view of probability).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principle_of_indifference#:~:text=The%20principle%20of%20indifference%20states,the%20simplest%20non%2Dinformative%20prior.

Are there any legit scientific freelance platforms? I am looking for some side hustle writing and editing (e.g academic proposals, product presentations, journal articles, data analysis), but all freelance platforms seem to be just data harvestiong, with no actual activity.

Kolabtree = bullshit

Enquire = bullshit

LinkedIn = fuck I hate linkedin

Anybody know where to pick up some scientific writing gigs?

Thanks anon in advance.

Why are western workplaces and universities PRETENDING to be accommodating to the disabled/women/blacks/low iq/non whites etc?

In particular, why are the pretending to be accommodating for the LOW IQ?

The particular university I attend is elite, it rejects most applicants based on essentially IQ test scores.

It implicitly rejects non whites as they require extra curriculars which cost huge amounts of money and time, it costs 25-50k per year just in living costs. It is in the most expensive place in western Europe. Then the fees are 10k a year. (whites have 10+ x net worth of non whites).

Then once you graduate you're going to need 1-5 years to get an entry level job (living near jobs in giga expensive place). The interview process is an IQ SCREENING and filter for blacks/non white women/ disabled/low iq in every way imaginable.

There are also studies of every major company showing that non whites need to send 4-50x more resumes with identical skills/education, and every company reports vastly lower employment rates of non whites/disabled..... and the worst are the low iq.

low iq/ intellectually disabled are underrepresented in every position that pays well.

Fuck Science

No.14296309 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Science is bullshit. The amount of times a labcoat has been wrong about something is close to 99% of the time. "B...but that's the point!" Tradition and basic logic has been proven right almost every single time. Examples below include -
>Fat is bad for you!!! Eat a bunch of carbs! Now "science" has found the opposite
>Take the Laudanum! It will help coax you to sleep and feel happier!
Now recognized as terrible for you and is schedule 1
>Alcohol is terrible for you!
Alexander the Great, Churchill, Hemmingway, etc have all been drunks
>Tabula Rasa!
Demonstrably false, humans are genes expressed within an environment, as people understood for thousands of years on an intuitive level.
>Science is truth, trust us!
Replication rates at levels of less than 20% on average
>Plastic is the future!
Has killed off millions of species, and is full of chemicals that cause brain damage, effeminacy, and polluted our world for the next 10,000 years.
>Religion is wrong haha, the world is mechanical, Newtonian Physics FTW!
Modern physics points to intelligent design, and things like the double slit experiment contradict all we know.
When will sci fags stop pretending that they know everything? Intuition, logic, and the religious texts literally predict all the shit that is later found out by "science". Am I against experimentation? No. Am I against a methodology of finding truth? No. I'm against you faggots that believe every new fucking study and then proceed to fuck up all of humanity because your newest, gayest, "Science" told you it was right.
>Jannies, this related to science directly due to the fact that this is a direct philosophical attack on the basic principles of the study. Is the study of science not based upon truth?
