So a force is the action by which an object does work on another object, right?

Since work is the product of force and distance, shouldn't the force equation also have a distance factor?

How does a force not act over a distance? I understand that it could just be agreed upon to be one meter or something,

but shouldn't we still include distance in the force equation?

Imagine a building made of structural elements. All elements are transferring some amount of force (thousands of pounds, for example) at any give time either to another element, or to the ground. An yet, NO net work is done because the forces arent acting through any distance. static mechanics is important.

no, because then it would no longer be a force equation and it would be an energy equation instead. we already have lots and lots of those.

Work is the energy required to move an object in a force field.

Lagrangian mechanics don't require forces at all, so I'm curious how work is defined in that instance. You can get the equations of motion, but not force.

I will say this though, returning to normal doesn't even seem to compress the experience. It all coalesques into a dense cloud of experience, gigabytes larege, the space it occupies in the neurological space must be tempered with care though. Who knows what happens when a human reaches max capacity.
