Are there any bacteria species that specifically spread themselves through use of an infected hosts salivary glands?
I know that rabes does this, but that's a virus. I'm trying to find out whether there are any bacteria that also utilize this method of transmission.

Seriously, I've been looking a bit into this and can't seem to find anything definitive on the subject. Seems to work well for a few different viruses, so wouldn't bacterial evolution lead to (at least one) notable case of this occurring within a species as well? Especially seeing how prevalent mouth-to-mouth feeding is across different animal species.... I'd have expected this to be a pretty good way to provide commensal oral bacteria from parents and their new/young offspring. [pic unrelated, but nice enough to hopefully get some responses to ensure I am not just screaming alone into the void]

I tried researching it back in the day and found little except about cold or flue or stds. Sharing food and utensils is a disgusting habit that a large number of people unfortunately do and it probably "updates" the hosts microbiome. Also, you picked too shocking of an image in the way that people are gonna keep scrolling.

>still asking if you haven't gotten the vaccine yet, then you're clearly not going to since if you were going to you would have by now. stop wasting everyone's time with these bad faith questions. and own up to the fact you're an anti-vax retard.

With different countries at different levels of lockdown, it's possible some people had little need to vaccinate, but the need is increasing as things open up and/or mandates change.

So I've been admitted to a masters program in applied mathematics in a German Hochschule.
The program honestly aligns with my interests so much it's almost weird.
Should I go for it? If I go for it, or will I
It kill my chances of doing a PHD afterwards?
I aim to do a PhD in either one of the big German TUs (München, Aachen, Erlangen, Berlin, etc) or in Sweden in either chalmers, Uppsala or KTH.
And well, my delusional pipe dream is doing my PhD in ETH.
For some context, I've applied to 6 masters programs, the first to respond rejected me and this one accepted me. All the other applications are for technical unis in either electrical engineering or applied mathematics.

However, why should I commit to the first acceptance I get? Please read my post dude

Help me out here HBD anons. I heard an argument against race that went something like this
>human races exist because they are groups of people with similar genetically-based characteristics and are more prone to certain diseases
>by this logic why couldn't gingers be separate race when the share the same genetically determined characteristics and are also prone to certain diseases?
Is he right? Did /pol/ lie to me? How to counter this argument, /sci/?
(to janitors, this is not a troll, please don't delete this thread)

you can divide humans into groups based on geographical location and migration routes but it becomes a lot more complicated than black, white, yellow.

>>13456015 most current-day people are mixed race. For instance, so-called "europeans" have 50-80% Middle Eastern ancestry.
And yes, this means that Italians etc are closer to non-european.
The few people who aren't mixed race (West Africans and some rare tribal races) are simply deeply mixed, in admixture events that happened 10,000+ years ago, and no longer show up as unique admixture.

I have planned to be WFH for at least one more year. For me this has been a great time, saving 3 - 5 hours travelling to and from work every day plus all the expenses relating to travels and, on top of that all the common cold and flu I got on public transport. One year I used 100 bucks on cough mixtures.
