Physics or Maths cuckories?

No.13460679 ViewReplyOriginalReport
is it gay to study physics and have a masters in quantum field theory compared to having a degree in pure maths or god forbid in engineering (some shit in physics but with more applied mathematics)? It seems that not knowing ALL THE MATHS is admitting defeat, even if I'm all the dick in QFT. Are physics (mainly theoretical QFT) and maths on the same level of knowledgy coolness in the eyes of you anons?

I fear that I am going to be missing out on a lot of cool maths with physics. I'm aware that complex numbers, quarternions, probability and other cool stuff are a given with that kind of physics but fuck it feels like i won't know shit about dope ass conjectures and theorems...help my autism
