WHY AM I SO SHIT AT MATH?
I HAVE AN IQ OF 138, I SPEAK 3 LANGUAGES, I WON NEARLY EVERY CHESS TOURNAMENT I COMPETED IN AND I EVEN BUILT MY OWN CW SHORTWAVE RADIO!
PLEASE EXPLAIN.

am I retarted or does this condition make no sense. if z = a+bi, then 1+ (a+bi)^2 = a^ +1 which can never equal zero anyway?

Hello /sci/ I have a math puzzle for you today. This was given to me in high school and I could never figure it out:
As Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, many turkeys are understandably worried. Several of them have gotten together and convinced humanity to accept the following challenge (rather than settling things with the sword). The turkeys will create a polynomial P(x) such that, no matter what integer k the humans give them, the output P(k) will be an integer. If they can do this with one of the coefficients of P(x) being 1/2013 then no turkeys will be eaten for the rest of 2013.Can the turkeys succeed? More generally, if you give them finitely many years (say n+1 years) can they create a similar polynomial which has 1/2013, 1/2014, …, 1/(2013+n) as coefficients?
One answer that is not too hard to find is P(x) = [(x)(x+1)(x+2)...(x+2011)(x+2012)]/2013. However my teacher told me there are polynomials of lower degree that also work, and challenged me to find the set of all polynomials that satisfy this condition, but I could never do it.

The Michelson-Morley experiment is simply a demonstration of relativity, and failed to disprove the light ether theory.
>First performed in Germany in 1880–81 by the physicist A.A. Michelson
>Einstein born in 1879
They didn't understand what they were doing because Einstein hadn't yet popularised the idea of special relativity.
>Michelson-Morley experiment, an attempt to detect the velocity of Earth with respect to the hypothetical luminiferous ether
>Einstein wrote, "If the Michelson–Morley experiment had not brought us into serious embarrassment, no one would have regarded the relativity theory as a (halfway) redemption."
This experiment has absolutely nothing to do with ether.
They couldn't detect the Earth moving through space because of relativity.
There is no reason that relativity makes sense with a wave/particle idea but not an ether model.

Quantum ideas are a vague and flawed solution.
Wave particle duality is not possible, light is simply behaving as a wave.
Light waves are similar to a sound wave in that it is a disturbance travelling through a medium.
The difference in power of different segments of the Electromagnetic Spectrum is equivalent to measuring of the volume of quieter and louder sounds.
To say light does not travel through a medium is to say light is not travelling through the universe, through space or time, as if it isn't real, despite our observations.
Relativity actually supports an ether medium model, explaining why light would travel at a constant speed in all directions regardless of the postion and movement of the observers.

Prove that you are not a Boltzmann brain conjured into existence by random quantum fluctuations with a complete false memory record of your entire life drifting through interstellar space right now.
