I'm a dumbo trying to understand quantum mechanics. I've watched a decent bunch of videos but no one explains:

1. What does it mean that the collapse happens when we "observe it"? How is the observation happening, and why is it not the observation machine the one that is causing the interference?

2. If the observation is indeed when we look at it, is it not like video games, where objects are being rendered when the camera points at them?

Your system has to be realistic and capable of implementing if you had the power to do so, and you must be specific for what the day will be like and give a justification for why yours is better than what is currently going on in America/Other Western countries that are similar with their system.

Replace a couple history and English classes with critical thinking and philosophy. Focus more on trade skills in highschool.

Would also bump up school funding so they can actually afford decent equipment and textbooks taking the money from the department of defences toilet seat budget.

Why is university filled with useless courses and deadlines? Why can't I just pick whichever course I want based on how much I pay? no college admission no bs. why do corporations reinforce this never ending cycle of suffering? why isn't education decentralized yet?

If you’re a phd in Berkeley CS, you probably have so many job offers that you need to hire a personal assistant to sort through them. 150k academic starting hire and 200k or more in private. That’s assuming you don’t just start your own startup and become a millionaire.

If you’re a rhetoric/philosophy Berkeley PhD, you might be one of 2-3 lucky ones who are greased through to an academic hire by your advisor (out of 50 or so phds) and the rest are cycled out or hired to teach undergrads English writing at 35k a year.

Why would anyone study rhetoric/philosophy in this environment?

Nobody would. So they subsidize the rest of the university with the engineering/business/medical schools (if they have them). English majors are filled with hot girls who want to appear deep. Media studies with hot girls who want to be employed.

Is it? I'm doing a math major, and at my uni you have to take calc, linear algebra, real anal, stats and algebra, and then beyond that you can pick any of the other courses as long as 50% of your degree ends up math-related. However, switching programmes is very easy as well, so its not too strict a requirement. I'm currently doing advanced topics in complex analysis, representation theory, philosophy of mind, artificial intelligence 2 and a easern languages course. Others take 100% only math courses etc, or take 50% math 50% physics etc. Also uni is free in my country, and the loans/stipends you get are pretty generous, so you generally don't have to work, even if you live away from home.

It might be that minoring in Physics is more difficult then studying it full-time. When you take minor in Physics you study courses that don't imply prior knowledge of Physics (for example, Mechanics), but when you study Physics more deeply, you learn concepts that you're already familiar with, just on a more difficult level (for example, Analytical Mechanics)

Fundamental particles are graphs with vertices edges and loops. Look up phoenix theory. Simplifies standard model by a factor of 6 actually makes testable predictions unlike string (shit) theory. Very elegant for math autists that are into aesthetics

Physics in the modern sense of the word is easily the most embarrassing and pathetic "intellectual" escapade the west has ever seen.
The physicists have only managed to "prove" in their own "objective" methods that which has been known for literal thousands of years.

I would call bullshit on the fourth time, but any standard is arbitrary. Human intuition about what's likely enough to be worth considering, is turned for everyday practical purposes. It's possible that the dye is fair and you've just witnessed a one-in-a-billion event, but being wrong one time in a billion produces better outcomes than trying to plan your way around countless one-in-a-billion possibilities.
