Fatherhood

No.13683606 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Clearly motherhood is instinctual. But is fatherhood learned? Or based to some degree on instinct?

I have two records of academic dishonesty for plagiarism at my undergrad (for classes unrelated to my major). Should I disclose this information in my grad school applications?

hey frens, I was hoping to get some conversation going around these results:

Relative risk reduction (RRR) for Pfizer and Moderna jabs are 95% and 91%, respectively.

Absolute risk reduction (ARR) for Pfizer and Moderna jabs are 0.84% and 1.2%, respectively.

It is my understanding that ARR adjusts for background risk, but RRR only accounts for the risk between the experimental and control group. In other words, with ARR we understand our reduction in risk relative to the risk we are naturally exposed to, whereas in RRR we understand our reduction in risk RELATIVE only to the control group, excluding any background/existing risk. Could anyone here please correct me if I'm wrong? Here's the study (very short read) that I'm reviewing/needing to better understand: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanmic/article/PIIS2666-5247(21)00069-0/fulltext#bib8

Ted Kaczinsky

No.13687834 ViewReplyOriginalReport
What could he (or she) have accomplished if they didn't have mental illness and got MKUltra'd?

>For a period of several weeks in 1966, Kaczynski experienced intense sexual fantasies of being a female and decided to undergo gender transition. He arranged to meet with a psychiatrist, but changed his mind in the waiting room and did not disclose his reason for making the appointment. Afterwards, enraged, he considered killing the psychiatrist and other people whom he hated. Kaczynski described this episode as a "major turning point" in his life:[35][36][37] "I felt disgusted about what my uncontrolled sexual cravings had almost led me to do. And I felt humiliated, and I violently hated the psychiatrist. Just then there came a major turning point in my life. Like a Phoenix, I burst from the ashes of my despair to a glorious new hope."[36]

Is it possible that space could actually be discrete and made up of tiny chunks or does that not make sense?
