It’s based on causality and taking those rules and applying them in theory. Take theoretical physics for example. Hawking determined black holes exist without observation. We finally observed a black hole in like 2018. We make up axioms and lemmas and verify the discoveries in the real world (not from math so idk if that’s the right way to say it without googling)

A lot of zymogens need to be cleaved prior to activation. Furin is an enzyme that does this.
I designed a chromatography process to clear residual furin from a recombinant blood clotting factor using a solid substrate adsorber. Fun times.

But it becomes very messy when i try to subsitute with tan(x/2) and use trig identities for cos and sin, maybe i am doing it wrong, anyways I could use some pointers on how to solve an integral like this. Or just straight up an answer if someone has the time. Thanks in advance.

Using the trivially simple trig identity you have in your image, you can rewrite this integral as
