The main optimization from last time is only considering faces that are facing the position being checked, making O(n) complexity a maximum instead of a regular. The tradeoff is that if a mesh was fully "inside out" the algorithm would stop working.

I made the triangle class on my own, and learning about barycentric coords was pretty neat. Does the subtriangle area ratio stuff work for larger convex polygons?

I read this article and then read the study that it's based on and I noticed something that makes me skeptical:

It would be better if they explained why the dates were implausible, but maybe the reasons varied. Anybody would agree that dates in the future, or more than 10 years ago, would be implausible for such as study. (Sure, there are a lot of post-menopause women, but they wouldn't be trying to conceive.)

why would this generalize to other neurological conditions and what makes you think that Witten is a good candidate for such a procedure. how would you "modify" the neurons to have high iq?

yeah his numbers are correct

P(NO Nukes) = 1 - P(Nukes)
.90 = 1 - .10

P(NO nukes for 50 years straight) = (1 - P(Nukes))^50 = 5.15*10^-3 which is ~0.5%

The same math gives ~60.5% chance of no nukes given 1% probability of nukes in any given year

No problem! If you like probability there's a book that might be fun for you to read by an MIT professor called:

Introduction to Probability, Second Edition by Dimitri P. Bertsekas and John N. Tsitsiklis

It's available on libgen and the second author, Tsitsiklis, has OCW content available on YouTube which walks through the general outline of the book. That's how I learned probability.
