Police have no suspects

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. — Matthew Willson was only three days into his visit from England to Brookhaven to see his girlfriend when tragedy blindsided both of them.

“He was supposed to be here for three months because we’ve been long distance for a while,” said Katherine Shepard, his girlfriend of three years. “I picked him up from the airport, took him to his favorite eating location, and the next day, he’s gone.”

The 31-year-old Willson died early Sunday morning when a stray bullet that came from a neighboring apartment complex hit him in the head in bed next to his girlfriend, according to Brookhaven Police.

Willson and Shepard met while studying astronomy at Georgia State University, before Willson went on to get his Ph.D in astrophysics.

“He made everyone around him smile and laugh,” said sister Kate Willson, sitting next to Shepard, “and he always brought joy to the people that were around him.”

The couple woke up to the sound of more than 30 gunshots coming from an apartment complex on Buford Highway, directly behind Shepard’s on Clairmont Road. The two buildings are separated by trees, brush and a significant distance. A bullet somehow traveled through Shepard’s wall and into her bed, hitting Willson, according to Shepard.

“I held him for another 20 minutes while we waited for the ambulance,” she said. “And while we were waiting, there were more gunshots fired. I was just trying to keep him there, you know, talking to him.”

He would later die at a nearby hospital, according to police.

Unit conversion paradox

No.14136510 ViewReplyOriginalReport
1m = 100cm. So if you have an expression in m and you want to convert to cm, you multiply by 100, right? But if you multiply 1m by 100, don't you get 100m, not 100cm?

A story not worth mentioning even in a millennia

I was talking to a girl who “thought I was attractive” she gave me her number I messaged her, and I was talking about atomic theory and physics, and she said “you will find that science girl one day” and “you’re smart” wtf is wrong with people, I’m starting to believe my own echo chambers and dating cliches
All I said was “protons neutrons electrons nucleus 3 dimensional space”

And I don’t even want a “science girl” I was a girl who will wear cat ears while I rail her and educate her.

Do people have to be mentally ill to think “jargon” equal Le big brainarinos

At this point I’m looking more into phychology and sociology, to play more social chess in tiered of getting my queen stolen by the damn bishop.

Will Virgin Galactic survive Epstein-Maxwell fallout?

No.14133173 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Virgin Galactic boss Richard Brandson was named in the Ghislaine Maxwell trial as a client of the Epstein-Maxwell pedo prostitution ring. Maxwell was found guilty, what are going to be the likely consequences of that for Virgin Galactic? Is the publicity the Epstein-Maxwel-Branson relationship is getting going to result in a substantial setback for future space exploration?

Please explain probabilities to me. For example, if I move from an area with 5 homicides per 100k to 40/100k, does it mean I am 8 times more likely to get murdered? If it is the number of homicides per year, what is the probability of get murdered on any given day? Does it increase with time? Should demographics of the victims be considered, life styles, etc? What I stay home the entire year, then my probability is zero? This is very confusing.
