If your art looks good according to your taste, and you have good taste, then your art is good.
Good art with good technicals are always in good taste, but it's not the technicals that grab people. Rather it's certain affects induced by highly technical art that grab people, and non-technical art can also do that.

van gogh merely painted for 10 years and he made over 2000 works, he painted daily simply for the joy of it, he painted when other painters were partying and using their commission money to bang whores and he hated them for it, he painted because his brother believed in him and because he felt like he should have silenced the voice inside him that said "you cannot paint"

just do it, bad painting, good painting, who cares, do even a squibble if you must, a rough sketch, but do it. As Vincent once said “What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?”
