If you raise a complex number to a power "n", what happens to the x- and y-coordinates of the original number (if you imagine that it was on a coordinate system instead of the complex plane)?

I get the public's distrust of pharmaceutical companies when it comes to medical advice but why are people distrustful of the medical community itself (actual doctors)? The vast majority of them litteraly have no financial incentive to lie, especially in socialist countries where they get taxed to hell and back.

should these be legal? Amsterdam banned them in 2008 cause some retard died in a car crash from it or something. would this reduce mental trauma in some people and prevent recidivism?
