Are they worth it?. Im thinking about their embedded system courses , some are free as in beer ( you can pay to get a diploma) but others are paid. I read all this edx related courses ( linux foundations uses their platform ) are a meme but the syllabus of each course seem very interesting.

Why would women evolve to be attracted to status/money? evoutionarily speaking.
Some evolutionary psychologists say that it's because they get more access to resources to take care of their offspring, but higher status in hunter gatherer societies (aka humans in their natural state) doesn't necessarily imply more resources, all modern hunter-gatherers are egalitarian, also if you know about economics the generation of wealth is highly dependent on division of labor, and there was almost no division of labour in hunter-gatherers, most men hunted, so there was no excess "wealth" that could be accumulated by some men in the tribe

As Black History Month slowly winds to a close, I thought it was important for /sci/ to recognise and celebrate accomplished black researchers and their contributions to science. I've compiled a list to start the thread off.

Kunle Olukutun - British born Nigerian-American computer scientist. Known as the “father of the multi-core processor”. Designed the first general-purpose multi-core CPU, along with various other achievements. Currently a professor at Stanford University.
