Russian war tactics

No.14281357 ViewReplyOriginalReport
The ruskis are good in terms of firepower and capability to overwhelm but holy fucking shit are they bad at planning. The goal of an invasion is to control the most amount of area while keeping the least amount of perimeter in the boundary with the enemy so ideally the boundaries should be the arches or circles or atleast somewhat curved, never leaving spikes because those maximize perimeter and minimize area.

Do you think they're being sloppy because they're confident they'll take the capital anyway? The boundary's hausdorff dimension is crazy stupid.

Best approach to teaching math?

No.14281245 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Okay, so math is my worst subject. I managed to power through and get b’s in the subject but the material I learn never completely stuck. I passed a general college math course in the fall with a B. The course used everyday scenarios and practical uses for math problems (like how much product needs to be sold for company to break even, how much should the school budget to each area to have some left over money, those kinds of problems. The other tactic it used was to focus on the entire process instead of just the answer. Basically, if you got 4 steps of a problem right but just messed up the last part you would receive 80% credit on the problem with a wrong answer because you used the process correctly up until that point. This was still hard for me but not enough to cause any significant stress getting through the course. How do you think math should be taught!

Good evening /sci/! I'm here tonight with a request. I'm studying for my MAT110 class and we're on the topic of polynomials with complex figures (i.e imaginary numbers and square roots.) So far I've ingrained synthetic division with imaginary numbers but when it comes to problems like x^3-8x^2+25x-26, 2 I end up getting stuck. Can you please show me the way?

What are the best ways to raise your IQ (the number as measured in full IQ tests, regardless of whether it reflects actual intelligence, which I realize I can't really increase. yes I'm a fraud) ? Last time I took one I was 135 midwit.

Is it scientifically feasible to clone extinct races using the fragments of DNA in modern-day mutts?

For instance, the average European has about 20% Ancient North Eurasian (ANE) ancestry, the average Amerindian has 40%, and the average Indian has 10%

Different individuals are going to have that ancestry at different spots on their genome. Couldn't you "build a genome" from scratch that would be 100% ANE? And then make an actual person from it? Perhaps ancient fossil DNA could be used as a guide?

If mermaids were real, how would they reproduce? They don’t have genitalia.

Division of Additive Inverses

No.14281365 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Why does the division of two additive inverses result in a number that is not an additive inverse? Is the only reason why the division of a negative number by another negative number a positive number because we arbitrarily say it is?

>YEAH DUDE TIME IS TOTALLY REAL
>IT ONLY GOES FORWARD THOUGH.
>IT GOES FORWARD FOREVER BUT LITERALLY NEVER BACKWARDS ONCE.
>YOU CAN'T REVERSE IT, DON'T EVEN ASK OR TRY.
>CAN YOU HOLD IT? NO. BUT IT'S 100% REAL. WE CAN MEASURE IT WITH A CLOCK, OH >WHAT DOES THE CLOCK RUN FROM? SOME ATOMS OR SHIT BOUNCING
>YOU GOTTA BELIEVE US DUDE IT'S ALL 100% HECKIN REAL
>NO YOU CAN'T REACH BACK TO ANY POINT IN TIME AND ALTER ANYTHING EVER. EVEN THOUGH THE PAST IS INFINITE THE FUTURE IS TOO
>WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD? DON'T ASK, THE FUTURE HOLDS ANYTHING, EXCEPT THE ABILITY TO ALTER THE PAST, THAT NEVER HAPPENS! DON'T EVEN TRY!
>YOU REALLY REALLY REALLY CANT QUESTION US ON THIS!! SERIOUS!!
>NO DON'T TRY TO ALTER THE PAST!! THAT'S A HECKIN' IMPOSSIBLE!!
