Primer to evolutionary biology

No.14311398 ViewReplyOriginalReport
What are some introductory books on biology and evolution?

I have gathered the titles on pic related, are they a good starting point? The goal is to understand accesible stuff like Dawkins and Wilson, for someone who can't tell the difference between DNA, genes and cromosomes.

Anyting you would add/change?

This plot shows the changes in the trend of seasonal sea ice minimums over the satellite record for Antarctic sea ice, beginning with the trend after ten years and proceeding year-by-year. For much of the satellite monitoring period, the trend has been towards increasing ice, but the vertical bars show that the high variability in the records means that the trend is not statistically significant. As of 2022, the net trend is very close to zero.

This is how it happens. I came so close, but I was a few rolls of the dice away, and now I am going to be swept away with the chaff. I just want to truly achieve.
I don't care about how this thread makes anyone feel or what happens to it. I hate this board and most people on it.

Yuri Gagarin cancelled

No.14315823 ViewReplyOriginalReport
>Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space, has been stripped of his honours by the Space Foundation which censored his name "in light of current world events." In a now deleted note, the Space Foundation said that it was removing Yuri Gagarin's name from its annual "Yuri's Night" and replacing it with "A Celebration of Space: Discover What's Next" at the conference. This move was made in solidarity with Ukrainian people ..." (Source: https://www.rebelnews.com/yuri_gagarin_name_censored_from_space_symposium_conference )
I think this is too far.
