>get girlfriend
>suddenly start showering every day
>going to the gym
>get a raise at work
>stop drinking booze and smoking weed

Scientifically speaking why are women such positive motivators for life?

Why is the universe so big and long lived? Wouldn’t it be much more likely for a universe to pop into existence and then immediately fizzle out again

Why do fields/virtual particles excitations exist at all

Why is the universe physical and not mathematical

Isn't the solution mere extrapolation? You just prove that the "zeros" are a specified distance away from each other with numerical analysis.

How do you "ask questions" in college?

No.14320417 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I don't understand the point of asking the professor questions, like that's the pinnacle of learning. Any question I have I can figure out with effort, or even Googling so are students to ask questions retarded or do they really just value the professor's way of doing thing above all others? I'm an undergrad btw if that isn't obvious.

Systems Engineering Ph.D.

No.14318092 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I’m strongly considering going for a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering. I can go into my background and goals but I actually don’t think it’s that important here. My question is broader than just my career goals. I would like to know:

Would a Systems Engineering Ph.D.
a) be respected (at least somewhat) overall by the Tech industries, OR
b) indicate that I’m not sure what I’m doing and gullible for a sort of fake degree

Also - I read your sticky. Did you actually read /adv/? You know that I’m not going to get advice on /adv/ so I’m posting this on the board that can actually answer me.
