If we don't have free will and consciousness is some kind of illusion, how come that we can discover truths about the world around us? How is science possible without free will to have have self reflection? I think there's a paradox between having capacity to self reflect and free will. Does any one have a name for this problems? Pretty sure is some kind of epistemology problem, but I don't have a name for it, that I don't know. Help /sci/ bros.

In second year Physics right now, barely studied, just came to class and listened and that was enough. I now realize I never really learned how to learn besides by osmosis.
There are a lot of great textbook suggestions on the /sci/ wiki, do I just choose one at random or is it best to read through each one on the topic linearly and do all the problems? If so how do I stay motivated?
I'm not sure I have the time to go though 7 textbooks on thermodynamics with doing classes at the same time.

Everyone seems to be whining how the veggies nowadays are le bad and falls for the ""bio"" meme, but is that really the case?
Arent technically all the crops that we've been growing for the past few hundred years "GMO" too? People have been modifying plants for thousands of years
