Which means that people who live in polluted urban areas are necessarily less intelligent than rural folks.
The average CO2 level on Earth right now is a little over 400pmm, in rural areas the average is about 100ppm less than that, in urban zones the average is 850ppm.
Since CO2 levels vary significantly during the day, it also means that urban dwellers will be less mentally weakened around sunset. CO2 in urban areas tends to dip down under 400ppm around then.

I know it's not exactly the same field of study but it's definitely overlapping. Also I worked as a data analyst for a state congressional candidate, if that means anything.

One of the research methods is the consideration of experimental and control groups.
