Mathlets have so little spatial intelligence

No.13382144 ViewReplyOriginalReport
So many mathlets initially start out as physics majors, but eventually they all get filtered. I cant even begin to tell you how many times the mathlets gave the excuse of switching majors because "they hated labs," or that "physics wasnt rigorous enough," and that "they just wanted to enjoy the beauty of math." But I cant teven begin to tell how many of them were barely passing as it was, and how they had all said how they wanted to get into an astrophysics program to understand to universe. They simply couldnt handle having to use math in a far more creative and spatial oriented way, and so they left.

I'm written a script to merge 3d point coordinates from 3d faces to basically generate an average face.

say I have 10 faces, I just add each vertex and then divide by 10, for each point.

The resulting face is an average of these.

But I only get one "perfectly" average face.

How can I adjust this algorithm to generate a large number of different proportions of each face, for example weighting the amount a particular face contributes to the end result?

Should I get the vaccine?

No.13368411 ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
From a selfish point of view, should I get the mRNA vaccine?

We know that there are some adverse effects to getting covid and there are some adverse effects to getting the mRNA vaccine. As far as I know, in all cases/all effects/all age groups, getting covid is worse. Feel free to correct me.

If my probability of getting COVID if unvaccinated is (say) 1% would it make sense from a personal health point of view to not get the vaccine? AKA is getting vaccinated worse than a 1% chance of getting COVID?

I'm young, healthy, no pre-existing conditions.

What's with midwits who are overly obsessed with IQ and unrelated evolutionary factors?

It's not science and they should crawl back to the Jordan Peterson comment sections where they came from.
