Why don't we do more of this? You'd think just creating land out of the sea would be high on the agenda for many nations. I suppose it does depend a lot on geography, the netherlands had the perfect shape to block off the sea. It would be cool to see new land created more though.
Also if anyone is in the know, how did they 'dry out' flevoland so to speak, surely it must've basically been a swamp with a high water table.

hello I am trying to find an equation to calculate the number of cows in minecraf after x number of reproductions, basically the cows reproduce in pairs a couple breeds a baby cow
the first time I reproduce them there will be 3 cows
the second there will be 4
the third there will be 6
the fourth there will be 9
note that I have 10 years without using algebra

It's just a game. There's no difference between two animals in regards to breeding in Minecraft. There's just no concept of sex, animals don't have any. You right click two animals nearby each other with their favorite food and suddenly a third one appears. It can be two any animals of the same type that can breed.

the most basic operations almost any ALU has are

of course, even the most basic CPU can be used to synthesize any computable function.

General comment on integer math:

You usually only need 2's complement subtraction for both addition and subtraction.

Multiplication: Left shift (for times 2) and then one addition for uneven multiplication

Division: Right shift (for divide by 2s) and subtraction for uneven divisor

Ah, OP, division is hard; so instead of actually doing the math you can stick a load of tables in the FPU and look up the outcome of a division.

Which is what Intel did with the first Pentium processors ... and screwed up because some of those tables in some processors were wrong (Google 'pentium error' and see).

So ... your question is actually a bit difficult to answer; maybe? Sort of?

My advice for a lot of people with bad degrees is to go into the trades, however being in LA a lot of the trades will probably be filled with illegal immigrants. Being an electrician still might be viable, but I'd imagine most of the other ones in LA probably is filled with Mexicans
