Put up what though? What world do you live in where everything is a debate? I am saying people believe in things based on something deeper than science. Science can be useful for many pragmatic things and can sometimes uncover spiritual truths but it is not really important for belief. Belief comes from a more natural place. Memories are the prime example. We do not believe memories after analyzing them scientifically we simply remember the experience and know it was real.

You're putting the cart before the horse. You don't know those 'phenomena' are caused by paranormal means.
If I take a car to the mechanic, I see it's overheating, I might assume that it's because there's not enough fluid in the radiator. I then take it to the mechanic and he observes that actually there's an obstruction in the air intake. I don't know that the overheating was caused by not enough fluid, you don't know those phenomena are caused by the paranormal.
