alright mathfags, after how many unlocked emotes should I stop trying for random unlocks and start unlocking manually in order to complete my emote dex? to reiterate the rules of the game, you can get 3 random emotes for 30 points and any duplicates obtained from random rolls results in 5 points being refunded. emotes range in cost from 50-300 points to unlock manually.
again, my question is after how many unlocked emotes is it statistically favorable for me to unlock them manually?
Where is the line between wanting to progress out of curiosity instead of necessity and can modern technology cults be considered hedonistic in nature?
Christopher needs 200 'blocks' to complete a project.
For every purchase of 'blocks' 17% of the 'blocks' are 'taxed' and go into a community fund.
So if Christopher buys 200 'blocks' he will only receive 166 'blocks'.
What formula does Christopher need to use, to work out how many 'blocks' he needs to buy, in order to get the 200 'blocks' he needs to complete his project?
This should be an easy question to answer, I just didn't know what to type into google to get the answer. Thanks.
It’s high bloody time n’est-ce pas? What field(s) do you think will in our lifetime? >A scientist writing around the turn of this century remarked that all of the past generations of men have lived and died in a world of illusions. >The unconscious irony in his observation consists in the fact that this man assumed the progress of science to have been so great that a clear vision of the world without illusion was, by his own time, possible. It is needless to add that he wrote before Einstein, before the spread of Freud’s doctrines, at a time when Mendel was just about to be rediscovered, and before advances in the study of radioactivity had made their impact—of both illumination and confusion—upon this century.
Cosmic history begins deep in the past, but shortly after the Big Bang the universe cooled down long enough to allow mass and the breaking of symmetry into the laws of physics.
Natural history begins deep in the past, but goes into high gear billions of years ago with the appearance of mitosis, the replication process which allowed the reproduction and evolution of all subsequent life. Mitosis replicates and preserves the “genetic code” of DNA which determines animal phenotype.
Human history begins deep in the past, but goes into high gear after the rise of the Mesopotamians, history’s first civilization. Shortly afterwards, these develop the Code of Hammurabi, ancestor of all the law codes and all the states and governments that came afterwards.
American history begins deep in the past, but goes into high gear after the American Revolution starts in Massachussetts. Shortly afterwards, the Americans ratify the Constitution, the law code of the land.
Each of these apparently unrelated forms of history starts deep in the past, but experiences a sudden phase change marked by the letters M-S-S in that order, followed shortly by the establishment of a code of rules.
So when we find that the Bible begins with the creation of the world, but experiences a phase change marked by a man named Moses, and then the giving of the Law on Mount Sinai, maybe we should interpret this as being about a little bit more than just one guy.
How do epidemiologists and biostasticians account for the fact that COVID was generally not transmissable at woke neoliberal political events and protests, but when regular citizens, families, small business, or far-right conspiracy theorists gather together, these gatherings turned into super spreader events? How come events and gathering hosted by woke neoliberals pose very little risk of spreading COVID, and we should not fine or arrest or even criticize people for going to these events, but the right wingers and even the general public do pose a risk of spreading COVID?
From a purely biological perspective, I can't identify any sort of mechanistic explanation for why left wing event would pose less of a risk for COVID transmission that apolitical gathering or right wing gatherings, but I figure some of you might have some information on the matter.
