I read an interesting criticism of the Bohr model of he hydrogen atom. The criticism was that if we considered the 137th electron state the atom would be one micrometer large, which is ridiculous, obviously.

Then I went back to look at Schrodinger's solution. substituting in n=137 you'll notice the probability density of finding the electron to exp(-1) is r=137a0 or 137 times the Bohr radius. that is very large. and when you compare that with the solution Bohr gives you find Schrodinger has the same problem Bohr did. At higher quantum numbers the atoms become unreasonably large.

is there an explanation for this?

"False negative" in blood testing

No.13673487 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I wanna get into blood testing and I was telling my parents about it and my father said that they told him to actually not donate blood again because he had something about a false negative in his blood or whatever. It was so long he can't remember what exactly they told him but I was wondering what exactly a false negative in blood is because now that I have heard about it I would like to learn more about it an d Google search has been unhelpful so far.

Has anyone considered the implications of an A.I. being religious? That could be a pretty problematic thing, especially if it's creator postured the A.I. to be unable to see any other view...

My mother had me at 17 while being a drug addict and I came out fairly smart.

Are there advantages to the brain development of the baby in a pregnant mother regarding some consumption of cocaine? Ritalin? Adderall?

Are there developmental advantages to being born to a very young mother while her brain and body are still developing and maturing? Is that why pubescent girls are so desired and taboo?
