looks to me like you can "fit" (not in a least squares sense) an inverse exponential of the form 1 - exp(-x) but it has to be expressed as a function of x in y and not the other way around.

with a pair of specific axis intercepts (y0 and x0 where the graph crosses the respective x-y axis), you can add them to form:
>y = y0*(1 - exp(-(x+1)))
this does the job of forming a sort of quarter circle, almost like a unit circle from 180° to 90°. It evaluates to zero at x=-1 instead of x=0 to close off that region between the axes.

now you have to express the same but as a function of x, such as x = f(y) and then rearrange to obtain y = g(x) and that will be your analytical function that *looks similar* to your graph/data (but is not actually a fit of the data per se).

i felt like deriving it so basically it looks like:
>y = 1 + ln(1-x)
if you want to scale for your intercepts I mentioned above then:
>y = y0 + ln(1-(0.632x/x0))
the 0.632 term is the truncated result of 1-e^-1 because the function I derived crosses the x-axis (evaluates to y=0) at 0.632 times the original asymptote (the term a if you just use x/a in the last greentext)

I made a mistake at the end. The 0.632 is wrogn and unnecessary but it somehow compensated for the fact that the original function:
>y= y0 + ln(1-(x/x0))
evaluates to y=0 for x=x0*(1 - 1/exp(y0)). this means that for a y0 reasonably larger than 1 your function will evaluate to 0 very close to specified x0 (since 1/exp(y0) will be negligible).

however if you want to use that for small numbers or fractions, another term needs to be added:
>y= y0 + k*ln(1-(x/x0))
where k = 4/y0. this is due to a property of the original inverse exponential called the time constant. once you add that k-term the function is all good in terms of x0 and y0

Literal brainlet here. I have a question that Google isn’t answering...well may be it is but I’m too dumb to understand.

I have two sets of data.

>The average of the first data set is 82.53
>The average of the 2nd set of data is 92.59

Can I just average these two numbers to get an average of all the data? Or is there a special formula I need to use?

Am I over thinking this? I feel like just averaging the two numbers I have is too simple a solution.

Also, does anything change if these two numbers represent percentages?

If the 2 sets of data are equal in size, then yes. If not, then you’ll have to multiply each average by the size of the respective data set compared to the total of all data.

You have a set of 5 and 7
[5,5,6,20,20] gives you an average of 11.20 for the first set
[3,7,9,12,12,22,34] gives you an average of 14.14 for the second
Without knowing shit, and aggregating the two as-is, you'd have an average-of-pure-averages of 12.67
By adjusting for set size ( 11.20*5 + 14.14*7 all over 5+7) you have an average-of-weighted-averages of 12.915

Sure there is. If you fear spiders handling them is an opportunity to conquer your fear.
If you recognize it would be cruel to be killed needlessly should the roles be reverse you're not demeaning yourself.
Also caring for other species in the biosphere and not destroy needlessly is necessary for mutual survival in the long run.

Saving the individual spider makes no difference, but the overall trend of being willing to save them does.

it usually means they where dead before they had any real time to process what was about to happen to them.

If it was some suffering involved but ended shortly you get the 'didn't suffer for long'.
If it was something drawn out and ugly the wont go into details and try to comfort you in some other way.

Dunno how medics approach that stuff tho, maybe they're more inclined to lye to not traumatize you.

Even if you don't understand the math, a surface integral, in concept, isn't too hard to understand. Take the surface of any random figure like a sphere. Look at only the outside surface and break it up into very little "parallelogram" sections like a grid on a globe. Each section of the circles surface is associated with a vector that points directly outward and perpendicular to the section of the surface it's "attached" to. This normal vector is scaled by the area of the section its coming out of. To find Flux, you take the amount of field (in this case magnetic field) passing through the specified surface boundary, and only consider the component of the field vector that's parallel with the normal vector (or in other words the part of the magnetic field that's perpendicular with the unit of area its going through), and you add this up for every point on the surface the field crosses
