Neet here again still learning algebra, now I'm learning about absolute value inequalities and how to graph them. I got a. and b. correct however for c I got the set of all real numbers (-infinity,infinity) in interval notation while the correct answer is (-5, 5) which is the intersection of x < 5 and x > -5. Shouldn't it be the union, which is my answer? I kept seeing the word "or" in examples.

Sorry if this makes no sense. I have zero understanding of mathematics. Just last month I couldn't add correctly.

If you were to do the union, then it will include ALL x values smaller than or equal to -5 and ALL x values greater than or equal to 5. This would be the entire number line.

Let's take the number 6 as an example. It it greater than -5, but it is NOT smaller than 5. This shows that using the union would not work. You can do something similar for -6 too.

If we take the intersection instead, it takes all elements that are both greater than -5, and smaller than 5, thus giving us |x|<5

A good tip for these types of questions to draw diagrams like pic related. The red line would be the union, while the green is the intersection.

Gene-environment interaction seems to have replaced nature-nurture.

NN is still useful depending on the example though, like heritability.

Almost all still seems high. Most biological traits are genetic.

Maybe NN is better for variations within a single population rather than for comparing populations? This also seems more of a criticism of heritability rather than NN per se.

I remember reading some study saying we have 50 years left before current farm topsoil dies dues to over-farming and use of chemicals. The only solution is to let the soil rest and go organic, but that is impossible due to the retarded number of humans on the planet that need to be fed. Best solution would be to take soil out of the equation all together, either by advancing hydroponics or by printing vegetables with machines.

Boosters put protection back to such a high level that few will get symptomatic covid at all. We may not even need further boosters, there's certainly vaccines that after a few months or years between 2nd or 3rd shots then provide decades or a lifetime of protection. But even lasting longer, a good chance, a yearly shot like the flu with something way more effective will keep most uninfected

According to picrelated, there exist two theories as for its origin. The first is that it developed naturally, but the author notes that there's no reason why it hasn't over the past few hundreds years. The second suggests that incompetence (albeit I can't imagine doing so on this scale without coming across issues of this kind) in the Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) mass effort in Africa lead to the mutation of the SIV. The reason why neither of the theories has been proven correct is because there's absolutely no evidence as for the first, whereas for the second it is due to possible vaccine hesitancy that would follow from it being proven.
