Any science people please confirm, I intend on using this in the future when I have to explain it to people. I'm only in my first physics class in uni so I don't know enough about it yet to know.

Any thoughts on this? Does this mean that anyone who catches the virus could easily be given a monoclonal treatment like is currently free to all citizens of Florida? They'd just need to update the treatment to include this antibody? I have no idea how monoclonal treatments work so sorry if I'm asking the equivalent of why can't we walk to the Moon.

I'm in the final semester of my math major and I'm torn between three classes, they all seem fun as fuck but I can only choose two. My options are a course on group theory, an optimization course, and mathematical cryptography. The optimization course and mathematical cryptography course are both special topics courses, the mathematical cryptography being taught at a nearby university which is ivy league tier, and I've always been super into hacking and cryptography so this is super unique. I also absolutely loved the tiny bit of group theory I've been exposed to (mainly in the context of topology) so this is my only chance at formal education in the area. The optimization course seems like a really comfy course (assignment every 2 weeks) and apparently you get into some machine learning stuff, which is also really cool and feels like it could be the most directly useful to a job in industry out of the three classes. What do you think, what should I take? What would YOU take?

What does it truly take to be an engineer of some sort? At least at entry level? My interest is probably in mechanical or industrial engineering but my current background just seems so far away from what stuff. I am a IT professional right now and my degree is not in engineering. Its in computer science but its only a 4 year degree and not a masters or anything. Would I have to go back to school to be engineer? Are any of the skills I have now transferrable in anyway?
