Pfizer VE, ARR & RRR

No.13758944 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I'm trying to work out the ARR & RRR of the Pfizer vaccine from this study so I can compare it against their VE for case prevention and hospitalisation. They're presenting VE as 1-OR and I can't for the life of me replicate their unadjusted VE figures to know I've done the correct calcs elsewhere.

This definitely just comes down to me being a dumbass at this point, but is any anon willing to help me derive the ARR, RRR and VE (therefore also OR) from this study?

Main study: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(21)02183-8/fulltext
Appendix: https://www.thelancet.com/cms/10.1016/S0140-6736(21)02183-8/attachment/e998365a-8f41-4c9c-997b-8f5a40d3aad4/mmc1.pdf
(Page 2 has the full cohort numbers and page 6 has tables on infection & hospitalisation by vaccination status)

I've been thinking about my Real Analysis class and I've decided that this kind of rigorous course should come much earlier in the curriculum. It would make children, and subsequently adults, much smarter than they are

Is there an equation I can use to figure out basic concrete strength? For example I want to know the difference between a 3 inch concrete slab that has reo bars and steel mesh in it as compared to a 3 inch slab that does not have any steel in it. Is the difference 100%, 200%, 400%, how much stronger does steel reinforcement make steel and how can I calculate this myself?

If one light source going through two slits produces an interference pattern, why doesn't two light sources with no slits produce any pattern? How are the two any different?
