Are we overestimating the role of the brain? What if its role is just food acquisition for the gut? It gets shut down at night while the gut is operating non-stop. If smoke is an aerosol, and clouds are aerosols as well, is every gas we classify as visible only visible because of the solid and fluid particles reflecting the light? Can you even see gases that are isometric or gaseous all around?

water vapor is transparent, clouds are only visible because the water is falling out of solution in the air (humidity) and condensing into aerosolized liquid droplets in suspension
