Guts vs. Brain

No.14375081 ViewReplyOriginalReport
Are we overestimating the role of the brain? What if its role is just food acquisition for the gut? It gets shut down at night while the gut is operating non-stop. Is gut more important than brain and all higher level brain functions like religion, philosophy are for entertainment purposes only? Where is soul?

>Methanotrophic bacteria consume 30 million metric tons of methane per year and have captivated researchers for their natural ability to convert the potent greenhouse gas into usable fuel.

Should tax money go towards investments in microbiology as the return (in capital) is low but the environmental benefits substantial?
Can I select breed some methanotrophs for improvements in methane turnover in my kitchen sink lab?

If smoke is an aerosol, and clouds are aerosols as well, is every gas we classify as visible only visible because of the solid and fluid particles reflecting the light? Can you even see gases that are isometric or gaseous all around?
