Expression of viral antigens was much lower in cultures treated with 1000 mg/L of glycyrrhizin than in any other culture; high concentrations of glycyrrhizin (4000 mg/L) completely blocked replication of the virus (figure).

Why do people like Dennett lie and pretend their internal experience isn't happening?

I've never seen anyone so adamantly lie over and over and over about something unless they had a severe bias out of fear. E.g. religious people who will just reel off infinite untruths because they are too scared of the idea of no heaven to be honest.
