Finishing work is also a skill Sometimes you gotta bite the bullet and just finish it, even if you don't want to Its a good habit to build up

I’m making more of an effort to consciously finish drawings. Having finished pieces is very meaningful to me

Everyone is throwing this word at every animu artwork drawn by westners and it lost its meaning.
ITT we post true Westoid™ drawings, as an example of what to avoid when drawing anime.

Stop drawing NSFW.
It's not funny and its not cute. You want my soul link you'll have to do better than that.

>>6024696 >>6024703 Dude it's not based to call yourself based while you trying to pretend that you're a different poster. And that doesn't fit very well with your "successful success" persona. You're just burying yourself even more, that's pathetic. The last ultimate thing you can do is depict me as a basedjack and take your meds.

Not sure if this is the right board for this, but does anyone make glitch art anymore?
I made these a few years ago by scanning paper and cardstock that I collected from the gas station I was working at. I like the vibes, personally.

Tell me your design proces anon-kun

For creatures I make them from random shapes and abstraction then build them into recognizable forms. Not sure if this will help anyone else but it has helped me, pic rel as example. I sometimes use references when trying to figure out details after making a silhouette, especially if it's a subject I'm not familiar with. For humans I just draw them based on personality and then take and modify from various references and fashion shoots, which vary depending on the character. I use pinterest often to find references. If anyone uses other sites to find references and inspirations easily please do share.

>>6025683 This is awesome Anon, I’m definitely going to copy your process. I started designing fantasy based things from imagination today since I got a course recently(starting with the tree in the pic). The tree was mostly a flow exercise, but I’m about to draw an elemental character and will definitely use your process when doing so because I always struggled to go further than the idea

>>6025690 Your lines are wonderful, love the flow and rhythm you've got it's very pretty. It's good to see you found it helpful. For environments I also take pictures very often. I will take my own pictures of whatever I find mildly interesting on the street, in parks, or simply just interesting compositions like cool cloud patterns that get my imagination going. I'm not knowledgeable on botany but I'm sure you could find some great ideas on tree designs simply by digging into some research and understanding the biology of said trees. The other day I discovered the existence of Banyan trees they are very fascinating and cool and finding such exotic wildlife can really motivate someone; the natural world has a lot sorts of wonderful things to offer and expand one's worldview. There is a lot of crazy things to discover and take inspiration from out there.

>>6025505 I draw from imagination and use references to make sure I'm getting things right, and I still have crabs screeching that it's traced. This crap is just crabs demanding that no one ever be allowed to attain perfection. Sorry that I won't purposely gimp my art and draw incorrectly.

>>6025539 By that, you mean not drawing accurately to make sure everyone can tell you didn't trace. I draw from imagination and only use references afterwards to make sure I got it right.
