I see your point. Oh, Chris Reeve was once in a lifetime casting, that's for sure. Watching the first movie again, he's so good at conveying a confident sense of sly humor, then moving to serious determination as needed, He's seemed more like a stage actor in other roles, not a bad thing but noticeable.

Not sure if Jews would react that way, Certainly many Jewish actors have played outright villains and the Shadow is a hero (if kind of a dark, sinister one). Brody has always laughed off comments about his nose.

It is kind of droll, his black hair became so established.

And it's a little petty, but I really wish Daniel Craig would have dyed his hair to play James Bond. He was already living at the gym for the role, getting black hair wasn't asking too much.

As someone who's never seen the show, how did they explain away such a drastic character design change? I've never seen a show be so bold in realizing they fucked up with an initial design choice for a main character
