I'm unconvinced, because we haven't reconciled the issues involved with the cosmological constant and the vacuum energy valuation.

We haven't created an experiment that differentiates mass in empty space, from properties that imply mass without having mass.

There may be a duality issue there, that we aren't yet technologically advanced enough to properly probe or test for.

In terms of human existence, the double slit experiment was yesterday. What will we be doing tomorrow?

If my understanding of field theory is correct then the magnetic field is technically omnipresent just like all the other fields. With this model you think of all particles as disturbances/ripples in one or more of these fields.

Maxwell's equations in the absence of a source follow from the existence of a massless spin 1 particle (the photon).
