I am not clear on B, Protestants have more Nobel Prizes in science than Catholics but there are too many denominations, I would have to see which denomination has more winners and how many contributions they have made throughout history.
But the Jesuits?...The Jesuits helped develop pendulum clocks, pantographs, barometers, reflecting telescopes, and fucking microscopes, to scientific fields as diverse as magnetism, optics, and electricity. They observed, in some cases before anyone else, the bands of colors on the surface of Jupiter, the Andromeda nebula and the rings of Saturn. They theorized about the circulation of the blood (independently of Harvey), the theoretical possibility of flight, the way the moon affected the tides, and the wave nature of light. The star charts of the southern hemisphere, symbolic logic, flood control measures on the Po and Adige rivers, the introduction of plus and minus signs in Italian mathematics; all were typical Jesuit achievements. This is why scientists like Fermat, Huygens, Leibniz and Newton admired the Jesuits.
My vote goes to them although I am curious as to which Protestant denomination is the one that has contributed the most.
