Except we can experience it, right now, and try to discover the scientific basis behind it. It won't come about that we understand these approaching them purely from exoteric study, when the phenomena itself is esoteric.

Well, the scientific method is a tool and in that regard is as useful as always. But the institutions that are tasked with applying this tool have become political, and worse.
When the Lancet published a literal fake study to demonize HCQ, it was pretty clear that there's little left to salvage. It's just another set of institutions that exist for control, rather than truth.
