a common misunderstanding about the big bang is that the singularity prior to cosmic “inflation” was itself a distinct object rather than everything that exists right now but with infinite density at every coordinate. imagine right now that any given point in the universe has a tremendously low energy density, and imagine you could manipulate a lever that would exponentially raise the energy density of every point in the universe. the singularity was that lever set to the maximum, and apparently some degree of instability caused it to decay into the universe as we know it.

for theologians, one could say that God blew a bubble. and then it popped.

I've started to see more and more of this stuff go around on social media. Organizations that literally give out free crack pipes and syringes in the interest of "harm reduction", which to me feels like a bunch of upper-middle-class academic types patting themselves on the back for "saving lives" while they're essentially encouraging the behavior they claim to want to prevent.

Am I missing something?? Does this actually work or is it just another through-the-looking-glass leftist circle jerk? It feels so insane to me

Memorizing is the retard's way. You should understand, not memorize. If you can logically derive the core rules, then you don't have to blindly memorize them. Try to explain why something's true, you'll realize that if you can, derivation comes naturally.

Unironically do the khanacademy multivariable calculus course. It was made by Grant Sanderson (3blue1brown guy) and he made it really easy for retards to understand. I can attest to that from personal experience.

Is this a common term? I just wrapped my head around some stuff that I couldn’t get by reading the chapter over and over for months. Then I said “fuck the words” and just copied the symbol definitions onto a single notebook page next to each other and BOOM I understood all of it in like an hour.
