in principle this works if the kick is strong enough to put the falling man into orbit. it's the same principle as satellites in orbit.
in practise, the kick would have to be so strong it would kill the person (probably actually tear them into bits) and because they are less than the height of a building they would fly into other buildings and landscape in the way

How exactly does evolution work? I don't believe a single fish can just turn into a dog overnight and change a whole species. I'm guessing a species is on a brink of extinction which generates lots of stress and triggers random mutations to everyone. They continue reproducing for hundreds of years with other mutated freaks until the ones with the mutation become the dominant genes in the spices and the old genes die out. Is this how it works /sci/?

The largest OBSERVED evolution is also one of the most famous, the finches of the Galapagos changing beak shape when moving to another island with different food available. But it was reversible and the animal was still the same finch as before.

Macroevolution is a purely theorical extrapolation of micro evolution

There isn't just one way to evolve and avoid dying, hence multiple species can survive in the same environment. There is nothing directing evolution so species don't know they have to evolve intelligence to defeat humans for example. There are features that are universally useful (like legs, wings, fins and eyes) that different creatures commonly evolve independent of each other, which is an example of convergent evolution. There are also genes whose expression has no effect on survival, or is actively harmful but not enough to cause the species's extinction, though everything usually tends to converge to the most efficient solution possible for the given environment.

Neither has many astronomical phenomena such as growth of a star to a red giant because they take millions of years to happen.
The sky appears completely static (except for the occasional super nova) but it doesn't mean stars and galaxies are not moving and evolving.
