Alright, now that we know this guy was a serial pedophile rapist, when are we changing the name of the Schrodinger equation to something else? >At the age of 39, Schrödinger tutored 14-year-old "Ithi" Junger and, according to the Irish Daily Mail, he "allegedly [vied] for [her] affections".[39] As John Gribbin recounted in his 2012 biography of Schrödinger, "As well as the maths, the lessons included 'a fair amount of petting and cuddling' and Schrödinger soon convinced himself that he was in love with Ithi".[40] Junger became pregnant by Schrödinger at 17, and he eventually left her and moved on to other targets.[41]
fucking disgusting
Necessary cruelty for scientific advancement or a hair brained scheme that was never going to work and condemned a lot of animals to die for no reason?
Why haven't we invented some kind of drug to increase well-being for everyone, rather than just treat specific illnesses like depression? Like a drug that disables the "hedonic treadmill" and just makes you feel above average happy and content, all the time? Sounds like the holy grail of tech. After all, everything anyone ever does is directly or indirectly for the purpose of increasing happiness. Why does it seem like no one is working on a shortcut toward that goal, despite it surely being theoretically possible?

Is it normal to experience a constant rush of adrenaline and testosterone when you are in your early-mid 20s? I was a weak and nerdy guy for most of my life, now I am constantly horny with reckless behavior, paranoia, violent impulses and a large appetite. Not making an /adv/ thread just curious if this is an observed thing.
