3rd world medical schools

>worked as a medical tech in various fields
>got into 2 decent American medical schools
>now I'm wondering if studying in America is even worth it
Why shouldn't I just study in Africa or Southeast Asia? It would be more fun, nicer climate, cheap brothels so I dont distract myself with needy gf.

were any of you enrolled in the experimental IMP (interactive mathematics program) in high school? how was your experience?

if you don't know what it is, basically, instead of "traditional" high school math programs where you learn one subject at a time in order (algebra 1, geometry, trig, algebra 2, pre-calc, calc), in IMP year 1 you learn a little bit of everything. then in IMP year 2 you learn a little bit more of everything, and so on.

sort of like a breadth-first search instead of a depth-first search.

i was an IMP student and it was okay, but after I graduated I learned that my high school deemed the IMP program unsuccessful at being superior than traditional math curriculum.

if your school didnt have this program or you weren't enrolled in it, what do you think about it?

How do you encode in a propositional logic formula that in an N x N chessboard you have at least M pieces? (piece type doesn't matter, only the fact that square sq(i, j) is occupied).

The formula must be true iff at least M squares are occupied (if you encode occupied as sq(i, j) then you need at least M of these literals true).

If i send air from the wide side through a cone(with a pump) i am giving the air a certain speed.
On the small outlet side the air will be faster, however here is my question:

if i did the exact same thing(same pump) only into a tube with the same diameter as the wide side of the cone the air would finish leaving the tube in exactly the same amount of time right?

3d modelling/photos/trig question (not homework)

Fellas, I'm trying to 3d model a vehicle (hobby of mine). Documentation is basically non-existant apart from general dimensions. What I'm trying to do is recover the position of the cannon's trunnions (the axis on which the gun points upwards/downwards). I know it can go a maximum of +20/-10 degrees.

So, I'm thinking on how to recover information from pictures like (pic related).

Assume XY for vehicle length/width, Z for height. Am I correct to assume that I can infer the Z rotation of the vehicle by just taking the proportion between the 19/26 degrees angles? That is, if the vehicle was rotated 45º on Z , I'd have 45/45 looking from above, going to 0/0 when parallel to the ground. If it was 30 degrees, would I always have a 1/3 : 2/3 ratio?

I don't have the camera info (though it doesn't look too distorted, not sure it influences much at all).

Anyways, open to ideas.

Scientifically speaking, if a 16 year old were to suddenly develop insomnia and slept 3 hours a night until he turned 18. What physiological and psychological impacts does this have on their growth and mind? This 16 year old would walk 3 miles home everyday and would constantly have inflamed ankles and knees because he couldn't get enough sleep to recover properly.

Humans are soon to be genetically modified to make women big and men small. We all already know this, for a while now I've explained why this is the ideal way in which we will apply genetic modification to humans. So in this thread, we will not be discussing that. Instead, we'll talk about hypothetical social orders of the people.

When I imagine this society and how the people will organize into family structures, it's pretty similar to our society. A woman and man get together to have babies and start a family. The woman has a large amount of babies at once, and the two of them raise the children together. This all happens at once, the woman only has to get pregnant once to have the 4 babies and the two raise the babies together, each taking care of 2 at a time to make it easier.

Males will from an early age have to be educated and trained in military combat and how to shoot guns to a high degree of skill. Otherwise, everyone will be free to basically pursue any interest that they want.

The society overall will lean matriarchal for obvious reasons, with women controlling most political institutions and such. It's not utopian, but definitely better than everything that's happening now lol

What does /sci/ think? How do you think they would/should order themselves? I made this thread yesterday but it was deleted for some reason.

ive got a BSCS and 6 figure salary but want to learn more. ive recently gained an interest in digital signal processing because of modular synthesizers and teaching myself sound design, but that has led me down a rabbit whole of also gaining an interest in ML and neural networks.

it would be nice to have a masters and engineering degree to open up my job prospects further than sitting at a desk too. idk if my employer will find the degree courses to be related enough for reimbursement tho.
