How the FUCK did he simplify the top addition to the bottom left fraction? He absolutely skipped a step. I'm not having a hard time following the actual content, but the exercises always have some unrelated bullshit like this.
I applied the formula for adding rational numbers and i still can't find any way to get from that top addition to bottom left. I can't simplify the resulting fraction because the dividend is an addition and the multipliers on the divisor don't apply to both the sides of the addition on the dividend.

What areas of knowledge be acceptable to learn and push their limits if you were a luddite? The kind of luddism only stretching back before the Industrial Revolution mind you, only to see what effect it would have on the IQ of a controlled population to allow for only certain areas of knowledge in some ways. Would acceptable areas include astronomy, mathematics, history, philosophy, botany, animal biology, geology, and physics? The acceptable technology is only from before the Industrial Revolution mind you, so flintlocks, clocks, and other methods and means from that century and before are perfectly viable.

I was applying lots of perfume on my neck and head area and maybe some got into my eye, not maybe, I felt some slight discomfort as soon as I did that, many times.
I sadly went on to wash my eyes the wrong way, with soap and water and rubbing, a no-no according to the internet, I felt more irritation, I then went to do it properly which was by getting lots of cold water to pass on the eyes to clean them but am I in the clear? I don't want to lose my sight
