May have poisoned myself by drinking iodine-metal corrosion material

No.14270106 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I take 2 drops of Lugol's iodine (some solution of potassium iodide) daily in a stainless steel cup of water. This morning I did the same, except I left the water+iodine mix out for an hour or so before drinking it, and when I did the water tasted a little bit bitter but I thought nothing of it until I drank it all (lmao). Looked it up and apparently iodine solutions can erode stainless steel and I might've just drank the corrosion material. Am I screwed, and do I need to make myself throw up?

Do you find Programming as interesting as Chess or Mathematics?

No.14272286 ViewReplyLast 50OriginalReport
Chess is a lot of fun: it's soulful, addictive and has a cozy vibe to it.
Plus there is a raking and you compete against other players.

Mathematics has unsolved problem and you can hope to solve one yourself one day.
Plus solving theorems/problems is challenging and satisfying.
But I am not sure it has as much atmosphere as chess.

Programming on the other hand has been dry in my experience it does not feel particularly even though it's supposed to be the one which makes you the most money.
What glory are you looking forward to as a skilled programmer and what exactly are you practicing?
Random problems that people at Google have decided make you hireable?
I am not thinking programming as CS but as IRL applications.

object1 crashes into "crashobject".

Then, object2 crashes into crashobject.

object1 and object2 have the same shape, weight and velocity when they crash, but object2 has a higher acceleration.

Is there any significance to this or would the effect on crashobject be the exact same. Discuss.

/pol/ was right again
look at this 5 month lag between /pol/ being right again and /sci/ realizing that /pol/ was right again.
/pol/ is smarter than /sci/

q: what caused the big bang?

a: nothing. nothing caused the big bang. everything in the universe is based on cause and effect, but cause and effect does not apply outside of the universe.
