answering the unanswered: Can blood grow mold?

No.14282506 ViewReplyOriginalReport
I was growing a mold in a medium sized jar for around 2 months when I decided to expand my experiment. I split the mold from the forth mentioned jar into 4 sections. One would remain in the jar as a control mold while I split the other 3 parts into smaller containers of their own. In one, I put pecans, the other a recess's peanut butter cup, and a couple droplets of blood in the last. Before doing so, I searched for any previous discoveries regarding if mold could grow out of blood. It makes sense, blood being an organic substance, but I fund no answers on the web. I am here to document my findings on what I'm sure you've all become curious of now. I'm also not a mold expert, the gift of mold was handed to me by God when it stared growing in my container. Share tips, questions, etc.

Zenith of sciences

What is the holy grail of discovery/invention for each of the scientific fields of study? Past or future answers welcome.
(Examples would be perhaps one of the unsolved problems in math, or nuclear fusion in physics, etc.)

I threw some hot water at a bug that was threatening me and it almost died.
Now it stays in the corner.
Did the bug learn it's lesson?
Can bugs learn things?
I still want to stomp on it but I don't know what kind of bug it is

Strange abstract illusion

Why when watching videos with abstract illusion after 2 minutes of viewing , the reality begins to distort ?
Is it related to the vulnerability of our matrix ? Or a side effect of our brain ?

Hey /sci/,

What started as a little brain exercise, has turned into a massive pain in the ass for me. Some hints or help would be greatly appreciated. Also if you think this problem is not solvable, it would be nice to know not to waste more time on it (especially since the application of this I have already solved using numerical optimization).

The problem is a gripper (2 fingers and a palm) in 5 point contact with a cylindrical object. Further I assume that the distal fingers (L2) are touching (at the vertical axis).
Pic related shows all the finger lengths of half a circle (as its symmetrical I think it can be solved with just half the circle).
I have also included two angle definitions, but I dont think these would be necessary for solving the problem.

Now for what I am looking for, I think this geometry can be fully defined by the three gripper dimensions (L0, L1 and L2). I.e. I think it is possible to express radius R in terms of the three finger lengths, which is what I want to figure out.

Firstly I have tried to solve it with trigonometry and algebra, but that got me nowhere.
