>>14282602Well, I like the "Queen of science" course on great courses, so far (i am an no 6) it is brilliant since it actually explains the where and why of math. Like when he explains that parabolas are the content of slicing up a cone and that those can lead to elipses. I never knew that stuff it was just abstract "put it in formula, done" in school.
Another more esotheric choice: read Euclids book "Elements". I havent but I already found several people who swore that book finally made them understand math.
Btw, I am in a similiar position as you. I mainly want to get better in math because i have a) and ax to grind with math and b)may need it for programming which I want to get into for some small projects. Dont listen to the haters, have fun if it interests you. But also remember that you will in everyday life mostly need some basic math to get by. So being great at the basics can pay of very well, but taking the deep dive into the hardcore stuff not so much.
