They don't use radiocarbon dating for dino bones, the half-life is way too short at ~5000 years. K/Ar, U/Pb, or Ar/Ar dating are what you would typically use.

What are the physics of how a camera works? I don't understand how taking light through a tiny hole somehow captures an image, I don't really even understand what a picture is either. Like is it another dimension stuck in that one moment in time? is it a replica of a moment?

The 'negative' that goes in your old analog camera there are four layers of color filters sandwiched on top of the celluloid. Yellow. Magenta and Cyan. Between each one is a separate layer of silver-halide suspended in an emulsion.
The top color filter only blocks Yellow so that Magenta can hit the next layer. The next filter blocks Yellow and Magenta. only letting cyan pass.
As for Polaroids, that shit is super complex, because for each color there is a negative sandwiched on top of a dye. So the light passes through the filter and then reacts with the negative. And that reaction then triggers a sympathetic reaction, the 'dark' parts of the negative. Next to these are sandwiched the opposite colors. Now I'm not sure of the chemical process, but basically blue light - like that from lapis lazuli will effectively block the yellow dye layer behind it. So all you see is blue. It's a real headfuck

It's better to make cardboard into a square shape and plastic and glass into a round shape. This is why cartons and boxes are square and bottles are round.
